What materials are used to construct the interior of the made to measure wardrobes?

The interiors of our wardrobes are constructed using 18mm melamine faced furniture panels “MFC”, A popular choice for furniture manufacturing due to its strength, durability and stability.

What is MFC?

MFC, is a melamine faced chipboard which is an engineered wood product made from woodchips and resin. Melamine is a thermosetting plastic that is applied to paper. These melamine faces are then glued to the chipboard, giving us the finished product.

We offer smooth satin white finish as standard however many colours are available.

MFC is scratch and water resistant and can be easily cleaned by wiping down.

Our MFC is manufactured to a high standard by european engineered wood specialists “egger”

Sustainability?

Upto 40% of the wood used in our sourced mfc products has come from recycled material.

In the UKGermany and Romania, the EGGER Group runs its own recycling enterprises under the name Timberpak. Suitable recycled wood is processed there and used for chipboard production. Large volumes of by-products and recyclable wood are generated by the plants. They upgrade them into materials or use them to generate environmentally friendly heat and electricity

Our suppliers are proud to give priority of wood resourcing to certified forests allowing them to monitor where the materials are coming from and trace right back to the tree they came from 🙂

Supporting wood as a resource, and ensuring the preservation of forests.
